Do-It-Yourself Facial Exercise To Combat Aging Skin

Get rid of folds and lines from your face with a daily 5 min home facial massage. Muscles will get back to shape as quickly as two weeks and then you can do the massage less frequently keeping in mind that in order to keep the muscles in good shape you need to exercise them at least twice a week.

 

Important Fact: UV light or UV rays are invisible and not really light at all. They are invisible. Since you can’t see the UV rays just knowing that will require that you use sun screen even on cloudy days.

Work out your muscles anywhere on the body and see the results.

Why not the face? The face has the same muscles….

Target: Nasal labial folds or grooves on the side of your mouth. 

They’re more than just laugh lines, it is simply sagging skin of the face and sagging cheeks. Flabby muscles make you body look older and the same applies to the face.

A fit body looks sexy, you stand taller and the skin has a smooth and it is glowing from the extra oxygen it receives during the exercise.

The look of aged skin and droopy muscles will affect your confidence and no matter how you wear your hair, or how much makeup you use, you will still see sagging.

It takes just a few minutes a day while you are in your bathroom before going to bed

  1. Cleanse your skin.
  2. Place a few drops of honey and a dab of a moisturizer on tips of your fingers.  Rub it quickly until it gets heated in your hands.

Apply the mixture of honey to the face. Make sure there is enough glide, if it is too sticky you can add milk or yogurt. Start working with one side of the face. Place both hands at the jaw line and briskly lift the muscles in 3 sets of 10 strokes. Move to the other side and repeat. You may find hard to coordinate the hand movement but with practice you will figure out the best position that works for you.  Some clients reported to me that leaning forward as you are shaking the muscles is easier on the wrists.

Next move is going to be very similar but you will only use one finger- middle finger works best because it allows for less twisting of the wrist.

Place both fingers right under the chin bone close to the mouth since we are going to work on the fold around the mouth-nose. Run one finger up and follow with the other to simply hold the muscle tight and shake it at the same time.  3 sets of 10 again. By now the face should be warm, invigorated; increased blood circulation will  stimulate the muscles or wake them up by delivering much needed nutrients.

Ok, now we can make a few stretches of the muscles using expressions such as surprise and smile as often as you can. I usually do that in the car while I am driving to work and from work.

  • Open your mouth wide and repeat word OUCH 10 times and then smile stretching the lips back
  • Open your mouth wide and bring the corners together in a form of  big letter O-u hold for 5 sec and repeat as often as you can.

Good job, now it is time to cool of your face and relax. Wash the face with a cold water until the honey is washed and the face feels nice and cool. Moisturize and you can look in the mirror. Looks great!

Repeat this process everyday for 2 weeks and reap the benefits  of mini face lift.
